MONDAY MOVIE MEME
This week Molly and Andy at the Bumbles Blog ask about movie quotes, so here are some lines I've either been known to use. Feel free to guess the movies (a warning that at least one of them's ridiculously obscure, and apologies for any misquotes in there).
"It's not the years, it's the mileage."
"Nobody's perfect."
"Guess somebody's going to have to rebuild Rio."
"Thanks, I made them myself."
"Feed me, Seymour."
"Great, kid. Don't get cocky."

#5 is Little Shop of Horrors. And I think #6 is Butch Cassidy and the Sun Dance Kid?
Well, on the plus side, you got #5 right, but sadly #6 (though it would fit Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid great) comes from another movie. If I was quoting from Butch and Sundance, I'd have gone for the "Sometimes it feels like the rest of the world are wearing bifocals and I've got twenty-twenty vision" line.
Don't feel bad, I'm not real good at figuring out the lines either! I do recognize Little Shop of Horrors, though...that's a good one that I totally forgot about! That is the beauty about The Bumbles brainteasers. There is always a good one you forget!
Hmmmm - sounds like something Paul Newman would have said to Redford - The Sting
My favorite line from Butch is when he laughs at Sundance for saying he can't swim as they are about to jump into the river and says "the fall will kill ya"
Thanks for commenting, Sandy, that last one was indeed from Little Shop of Horrors.
And now, just to put the Bumbles out of their misery, and for anyone else who's been wondering where the quotes came from, here their origins:
"It's not the years, it's the mileage." - Raiders of the Lost Ark (Indy says it to Marion when she's says he's looking old on the boat; although I've used it myself on the rare occasions when people have said I look younger than I am).
"Nobody's perfect." - Some Like It Hot (the final line of the movie)
"Guess somebody's going to have to rebuild Rio." - Drive In (this was the really obscure one)
"Thanks, I made them myself." - Repo Man (Emilio Estevez's cool reply, when Harry Dean Stanton says something like "Nice friends you've got").
"Feed me, Seymour." - Little Shop of Horrors (and Bill Murray says it at the end of Scrooged too)
"Great, kid. Don't get cocky." - Star Wars (Han Solo to Luke on the Millennium Falcon after Luke's just shot down some attacking craft)
*banging head on desk* Harrison Ford always did mind me a little of Paul Newman in some of his roles. Can't believe I missed that one.
