Saturday 9: Enjoying Your Holiday

Here's my answers to this week's questions from the Saturday 9 Meme:

1. There are several religious holidays going on this weekend. Any plans?
None in particular.

2. Do you look forward to holiday events or do they stress you out?
I generally look forward to them.

3. Do you have any traditional meals that you will eat?
Beyond a possible piece of easter egg, no.

4. We are changing seasons. What are you looking forward to?
Warmer weather, longer days.

5. Around here it is turning to spring. What signals spring to you?
The calendar (and even then I'm not sure exactly when spring begins).

6. What is your favorite season and why?
Either summer, because of the warm weather, or winter, because of snow and Christmas. Definitely not spring or autumn, which are both kind of wishy-washy as seasons go.

7. Do you have a favorite food when dining out?
Cheeseburgers; kebabs if I feel like a change.

8. What is your favorite beverage when out?
Depends who I'm out with. Either lager and lime or Vimto.

9. When is your next big night out?
At the moment, I don't know. I've got something penned in for the third of June, but hopefully something will crop up before then.

Hey, where have you been? Don't tell me you ran out of TT ideas, please! What on earth is Vimto? It sounds awful.

Vimtooooo...You know, I've not had any of that in years, Ribena, is where it's at. Look at me being all, ungrammatical. And Eerie...knob...backwards...you are a legend. Have a lovely Saturday and Easter and ALL.

Thanks for all of the comments.

Paula - Hope your Easter's good too.

Rikki - Sorry I've been away, just got distracted by other stuff, plus didn't have anything insightful to say this last week for the usual memes I join in with (I guess a bad blogger blames their memes), and didn't want to blog about real life, since most of it was spent failing to come up with interesting stuff to blog about, and I was afraid that blogging about not blogging could cause a paradox that might wipe out the space-time continuum. Hopefully I'll be out of my slump and TT-ing again next week. As for Vimto, it's a wonderful fruit-based drink that makes the mythical ambrosia seem a bit lacklustre by comparison.

NurseExec - You have a great holiday weekend too.

Bud - Happy Easter, and, hate to break it to you, but Vimto's non-alcoholic.

Tilli - Ribena's okay, but it's not got the mystery of Vimto, where you're never entirely sure of what fruits it's made of (maybe that's why I like kebabs too - because it doesn't taste of anything obvious). Anyway, hope you have a great weekend and Easter yourself and find time to have some fun amidst all that revision.

A rip in the space-time continuum? I suppose for a Star Trek fan that would be a valid excuse, if you are a Star Trek fan that is.
Thanks for the Vimto explanation. I could have googled it, but sometimes I forget about the internet.

Actually, Rikki, I think creating a paradox that could destroy the universe was a fairly feeble excuse either way, and my inspiration for that excuse was Back To The Future 2 rather than Star Trek.
